What RonComs have taught me

I’m ill today, so I have watched a few films. Seeing as my brain is all messed up at the moment, I’m going to give you all some advice. This is what Chick Flicks have taught me:

The Ugly Truth: never reject Gerald Butler, you’ll regret it. Also never plan anything, that ruins things.

Life As We Know It: you should just get on with the person you’re sharing a house with/ looking after your best friend’s child. It makes things so much easier.

Valentine’s Day: love can be alright, sometimes.

He’s Just Not That Into You: he’s just not that into you, simple.

No Strings Attached: when you choose a friend with benefits, make sure he’s nice, because you’ll probably end up marrying him.

Friend With Benefits: don’t tell your parents about your friend with benefits, unless they’re really cool.

Easy A: never pretend to be a slag, but if you do, make an awesome vlog, and everything will be fine.

The Tourist: this isn’t a chick flick.. really.. but it should be. The person who has changed his identity, is always the one you will fall in love with.

Baby Mama: never pay some blonde chick to have your baby.

Moulin Rouge: love kills you.

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging: stick with your friends, they rule.

What I have learned since September.

I’d like to think my life is mirrored to something else. Wouldn’t we all love to have a book written about us? About our lovers, our haters, because then, we would know that there would be a happy ending. I’m still pretending that’s how things are happening, so I am going to dramatise everything, and never look back in regret.

In September, I wasn’t really sure what to do. After dating a boy who was a class A idiot- and then having to sit through many, many hours of people telling me so- I was kind of sick of life. So what happened in September? Not a lot I must say, I just blended.

October came. What happened in October? I went to a campout, got a bit tipsy, and experienced alcohol for one of the first times. That was fun. I won’t go into details about that campout, it was a bit embarrassing. Then I turned 14! Woo! Another year of being able to do nothing else.

NOVEMBER NEXT. Another drunk party, but this time a new boy in my life. Two years older, nice enough. Was he a player? Ha, I was too naive. So basically I went to this party, got wasted, and got with said boy. Only to discover he doesn’t actually like me like that, and now I feel a bit used.

What an interesting three months.

Over and out, Julia x
